• Indian young wrestler Antim Fungal created history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to achieve this feat by retaining the title in the World Under-20 tournament. In the final of the 53 kg category, she defeated Maria Efrimova (Ukraine) 4-0.
• The final Kundu (65 kg) won the silver. She lost 2-9 to Iniko Elkes (Jordan).
• Reena won bronze in 57 kg category. She defeated Omirbek (Kazakhstan) 9-4. Arju (68 kg) and Harshita (72 kg) also won bronze medals.

• Scientists at Mount Royal University in Canada have discovered a new way to detect the risk of cardiovascular diseases by simply testing a saliva sample.
• An infection called periodontitis is usually caused by inflammation of the gums. In its victims, inflammatory factors are more likely to enter the bloodstream through the gums and damage the vascular system.
• In this context, scientists have found out in the latest research that by detecting the levels of white blood cells in saliva, the risk of cardiovascular diseases can be detected early.
• They analyzed the saliva samples collected by having several people gargle with saline. In people with high levels of white blood cells in saliva, it was concluded that the blood vessels become narrower and their ability to dilate according to the blood flow is less. It was concluded that the risk of heart disease is increasing in such people.

• రాజ్యసభలో అతిపెద్ద పార్టీలుగా ఉన్న భాజపా (85) కాంగ్రెస్‌ (30)లకు చెందిన 115 మంది సభ్యుల మొత్తం ఆస్తుల విలువ రూ.4,128 కోట్లయితే, భారాస (7), వైకాపా (9)లకు చెందిన 16 మంది సభ్యుల ఆస్తి విలువ రూ.9,157 కోట్ల మేర నమోదైంది. ఈ విషయాన్ని ఏడీఆర్‌ సంస్థ 2023 ఆగస్టు 18న విడుదల చేసిన నివేదికలో పేర్కొంది.
• పార్టీలవారీగా చూస్తే భారాస సభ్యుల మొత్తం ఆస్తి విలువ రూ.5,596 కోట్లు కాగా, వైకాపా సభ్యులు రూ.3,561 కోట్లు, భాజపా సభ్యులు రూ.2,579 కోట్లు, కాంగ్రెస్‌ సభ్యులు రూ.1,549 కోట్లు, ఆప్‌ సభ్యులు రూ.1,316 కోట్లు, సమాజ్‌వాదీ పార్టీ సభ్యులు రూ.1,019 కోట్ల విలువైన ఆస్తులు కలిగి ఉన్నారు.
• రాష్ట్రాలవారీగా సభ్యుల ఆస్తుల విలువలో తెలంగాణ (రూ.5,596 కోట్లు), ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ (రూ.3,823 కోట్లు) తొలి రెండుస్థానాల్లో ఉన్నాయి. ఆ తర్వాత ఉత్తర్‌ప్రదేశ్‌ (రూ.1,941 కోట్లు), పంజాబ్‌ (రూ.1,136 కోట్లు), మహారాష్ట్ర (రూ.1,070) నిలిచాయి.
• 225 మంది సభ్యుల్లో 27 (12%) మంది అపర కోటీశ్వరులు (బిలియనీర్లు). ఇందులో భాజపా వారు ఆరుగురు, కాంగ్రెస్‌ నలుగురు, వైకాపా నలుగురు, ఆప్‌ ముగ్గురు, భారాస ముగ్గురు, ఆర్జేడీ నుంచి ఇద్దరు ఉన్నారు. వీరు ఒక్కొక్కరు రూ.100 కోట్లకు పైగా ఆస్తులు ప్రకటించారు.
• ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ఎంపీల్లో 45%, తెలంగాణ ఎంపీల్లో 43%, దిల్లీ ఎంపీల్లో 33%, పంజాబ్‌ ఎంపీల్లో 29% బిలియనీర్లు ఉన్నారు.
• అత్యధిక అప్పులున్న ఎంపీల్లోనూ వైకాపా సభ్యులు తొలి రెండుస్థానాల్లో ఉన్నారు. వీరిలో పరిమళ్‌ నత్వానీకి రూ.209 కోట్లు, ఆళ్ల అయోధ్యరామిరెడ్డికి రూ.154 కోట్ల అప్పులున్నాయి.
• ఒక ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో అత్యధిక ఆదాయం చూపిన ఎంపీల్లో ఆళ్ల అయోధ్యరామిరెడ్డి (రూ.279 కోట్లు), బండి పార్థసారథి రెడ్డి (రూ.140 కోట్లు), అభిషేక్‌ మనుసింఫ్వీు (రూ.131 కోట్లు) తొలి మూడు స్థానాలను ఆక్రమించారు.

75 మందిపై క్రిమినల్‌ కేసులు

• 225 మంది ఎంపీల్లో 75 (33%) మందిపై క్రిమినల్‌ కేసులున్నాయి. అందులోనూ 41 (18%) మందిపై తీవ్రమైన నేరాలు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఇద్దరు ఎంపీలపై ఐపీసీ 302 సెక్షన్‌ కింద హత్యకేసులున్నాయి. 
• మరో నలుగురిపై ఐపీసీ 307 కింద హత్యాయత్నం కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఇంకో నలుగురు ఎంపీలు.. మహిళలపై నేరాలకు పాల్పడినట్లు అభియోగాలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు.. కాంగ్రెస్‌ సంస్థాగత వ్యవహారాల ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి కేసీ వేణుగోపాల్‌పై ఐపీసీ సెక్షన్‌ 376 కింద అత్యాచార కేసు ఉంది.

• The members from Bharasa and Vaikapa representing the Rajya Sabha from the Telugu states have ranked higher than the members of the national parties with the highest property values. Bharas MP Bandi Parthasarathi Reddy and Vaikapa MP Alla Ayodhya Ramireddy are the MPs with the most assets in the Peddal Sabha.
• Parthasarathi Reddy's assets are worth Rs.5300 crores, while Ayodhya Ramireddy's assets are worth Rs.2,577 crores. The assets of 225 members of the Rajya Sabha are worth Rs. 18,210 crores.. out of which the wealth of these two is 43.25 percent. Their share in the property value of 16 people belonging to Bharasa and Vaikapa is 86.02 percent.
• Next to them is Rs. Amitabh Bachchan's wife and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan stood with 1001 crores. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed these details after examining the affidavits of 225 of the 233 members currently representing the Rajya Sabha.
• The total assets of 115 members of BJP (85) and Congress (30), which are the largest parties in the Rajya Sabha, are worth Rs 4,128 crore, while the assets of 16 members of Bharatiya Janata Party (7) and Vaikapa (9) are worth Rs 9,157 crore. This has been stated by the ADR organization in a report released on August 18, 2023.

• Alla Ayodhyarami Reddy (Rs. 279 crores), Bandi Parthasarathy Reddy (Rs. 140 crores) and Abhishek Manusimphviu (Rs. 131 crores) occupied the top three positions among the MPs who showed the highest income in a financial year.

Criminal cases against 75 people

• Out of 225 MPs, 75 (33%) have criminal cases against them. Out of that 41 (18%) people were charged with serious crimes. There are murder cases against two MPs under IPC section 302.
• Cases of attempt to murder under IPC 307 have been registered against four others. Four more MPs.. are facing charges of committing crimes against women.. There is a case of rape under Section 376 of the IPC against Congress General Secretary for Organizational Affairs KC Venugopal.

• Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the dates of written examination for 11 posts recruitment notification on 17th August 2023.
• The written examination for the posts of Forest Range Officer will be held from September 25 to 27. Civil Assistant Surgeon, Technical Assistant (Ground Irrigation Department), Assistant Inspector of Fisheries, Industrial Promotion Officer, Food Safety Officer, Group-4 (Limited), Junior Translator Telugu, Technical Assistant (Mines), District Probation Officer Grade-2 (Juvenile the General Studies and Mental Ability Test for Welfare) Jobs will be held on October 3.
• Subject wise written tests for these jobs will be conducted online on different dates.

• Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission announced the selected candidates for Group-1 (Notification 28/2022). Out of the 111 posts selected, 33 are women. These details were disclosed by APPSC Chairman Gautam Sawang on 17th August 2023.

• ఎస్‌టీ ఎలివేషన్‌ మయోకార్డియల్‌ ఇన్‌ఫార్‌క్షన్‌ (స్టెమి)గా పిలిచే ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా గుండెపోటు బాధితులకు గోల్డెన్‌ అవర్‌లో 40 నిమిషాల్లోనే చికిత్స అందిస్తారు. తద్వారా బాధితులు ప్రాణాపాయం నుంచి బయటపడటానికి వీలుంటుంది. ఇప్పటికే తిరుపతి రుయా ఆస్పత్రిలో దీనిని పైలెట్‌ ప్రాజెక్టుగా వైద్య, ఆరోగ్య శాఖ అమలులో పెట్టింది.
• రెండో దశ పైలెట్‌ ప్రాజెక్టును సెప్టెంబర్‌ 29 నుంచి కర్నూలు, గుంటూరు, విశాఖపట్నం కేంద్రంగా ప్రాజెక్టును అమలు చేస్తారు. జనవరి నుంచి రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా విస్తరిస్తారు. ఈలోగా పాత 11 బోధనాస్పత్రుల్లో కార్డియాలజీ, కార్డియో వాస్క్యులర్‌ (సీటీవీఎస్‌) విభాగాలను బలోపేతం చేస్తారు. ఇందుకోసం కార్డియాలజీ, క్యాథ్‌లాబ్‌, సీటీవీఎస్‌ విభాగాల్లో 94 పోస్టులను ప్రభుత్వం మంజూరు చేసింది. వివిధ ఆస్పత్రుల్లో రూ.120 కోట్లతో క్యాథ్‌లాబ్స్‌ను సమకూర్చింది.

గుండె సంబంధిత వ్యాధులతోనే 32.4 శాతం మరణాలు 

• రాష్ట్రంలో సంభవిస్తున్న మరణాల్లో 32.4 శాతం గుండె సంబంధిత వ్యాధుల కారణంగానే ఉంటున్నాయి. రాష్ట్రంలో 38 లక్షల మందికి పైగా గుండె జబ్బుల బాధితులున్నారు. నాన్‌ కమ్యూనికబుల్‌ డిసీజెస్‌ (ఎన్‌సీడీ)లో గుండె జబ్బులదే అగ్రస్థానం. 
• ఫ్యామిలీ డాక్టర్‌ విధానం ద్వారా బీపీ, షుగర్‌, ఇతర ఎన్‌సీడీ వ్యాధిగ్రస్తుల ఆరోగ్యంపై నిరంతర ఫాలోఅప్‌ ఉంచుతున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా గుండె జబ్బులు, క్యాన్సర్‌ వ్యాధులపై ఫోకస్‌ పెట్టారు. సత్వరమే నాణ్యమైన చికిత్సను అందించడం ద్వారా మరణాల కట్టడికి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా స్టెమీ ప్రాజెక్టు చేపట్టారు.

Protect the heart with the STEMI project

• As part of the health protection of the people of the state, the government of Andhra Pradesh has undertaken many programs including the modernization of government hospitals from the village level to the state level. Special focus on heart disease and cancer.
• Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan has issued orders to expand cardiology and cardiovascular services and make them accessible to the people. In this order, a special program has been designed to provide prompt medical services to villagers suffering from heart diseases and save them from life-threatening condition.
• Called ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), heart attack victims are treated within 40 minutes of the golden hour. So that the victims can get out of danger. The Medical and Health Department has already implemented this as a pilot project in Tirupati Ruya Hospital.
• The second phase of the pilot project will be implemented from September 29 in Kurnool, Guntur and Visakhapatnam. It will be spread across the state from January. In the meantime, Cardiology and Cardio Vascular (CTVS) departments will be strengthened in the old 11 teaching hospitals. For this, the government has sanctioned 94 posts in cardiology, cathlab and CTVS departments. It has provided cath labs at a cost of Rs.120 crores in various hospitals.

32.4 percent deaths are due to heart related diseases

• 32.4 percent of the deaths occurring in the state are due to heart related diseases. More than 38 lakh people are suffering from heart diseases in the state. Heart disease is the leading non-communicable disease (NCD).
• Continuous follow-up on the health of BP, sugar and other NCD patients is being done through family doctor system. Especially focused on heart diseases and cancer diseases. Measures are being taken to reduce mortality by providing prompt and quality treatment. As a part of this, STEMI project was undertaken.
