- వినియోగదార్లు మర్చంట్‌ యూపీఐ క్యూఆర్‌ కోడ్‌లను, కెనరా డిజిటల్‌ రూపీ యాప్‌తో స్కాన్‌ చేయొచ్చు. తద్వారా డిజిటల్‌ కరెన్సీలో చెల్లింపులు చేయొచ్చు. ఈ ఫీచరు ప్రస్తుత యూపీఐ క్యూఆర్‌ కోడ్‌ల ద్వారానే పనిచేస్తుంది. అంటే సీబీడీసీకి విడిగా క్యూఆర్‌ కోడ్‌ల అవసరం ఉండదు.
- అనుసంధానమై ఉన్న ఖాతా నుంచి సీబీడీసీ వాలెట్‌లోకి కరెన్సీని లోడ్‌ చేయాలి.
- సీబీడీసీ వాలెట్‌ ఉన్న ఏ వ్యక్తికైనా డిజిటల్‌ కరెన్సీని బదిలీ చేయొచ్చు. సీబీడీసీ క్యూఆర్‌ ఆధారిత చెల్లింపులను ఎవరికైనా చేయొచ్చు. ఎవరి నుంచైనా పొందొచ్చు.
- వ్యాపారులకు సైతం యూపీఐ లేదా సీబీడీసీ క్యూఆర్‌ ఆధారిత చెల్లింపులు చేయొచ్చు.

- As part of the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) pilot project undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Canara Bank launched a UPI-interoperable digital rupee mobile app on 21 August 2023 called 'Canara Digital Rupee App'.
- This is the first bank in public sector and private sector banks to bring a mobile app for digital currency in this way.
How does it work?
- Users can scan merchant UPI QR codes with the Canara Digital Rupee app. So that payments can be made in digital currency. This feature works only through existing UPI QR codes. That means there is no need for separate QR codes for CBDC.
- Currency should be loaded into the CBDC wallet from the linked account.
- Anyone with a CBDC wallet can transfer digital currency. Anyone can make CBDC QR based payments. You can get it from anyone.
- Merchants can also make UPI or CBDC QR based payments.
- The digital currency can be credited back to the linked account if required.

- ఈ నేపథ్యంలో.. దేశం నుంచి 2022-23 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో 1,69,049.22 మెట్రిక్‌ టన్నుల చిరుధాన్యాలను ఎక్కువగా ఐదు దేశాలకు ఎగుమతి చేసినట్లు తెలిపింది.ఇందులో యునైటెడ్‌ అరబ్‌ ఎమిరేట్స్‌కు 17.8 శాతం, సౌదీ అరబ్‌కు 13.7 శాతం, నేపాల్‌కు 7.4 శాతం, బంగ్లాదేశ్‌కు 4.9 శాతం, జపాన్‌కు 4.4 శాతం ఎగుమతి చేసినట్లు కేంద్రం పేర్కొంది.
అంతర్జాతీయ మార్కెట్లో ప్రోత్సాహం..
- అంతర్జాతీయ మార్కెట్లో చిరుధాన్యాలను ప్రోత్సహించడానికి ప్రత్యేకంగా ఎగుమతి ప్రమోషన్‌ ఫోరమ్‌ (ఈపీఎఫ్‌)ను ఏర్పాటుచేసినట్లు కూడా తెలిపింది. 2023ను అంతర్జాతీయ చిరుధాన్యాల సంవత్సరంగా ప్రకటించిన నేపథ్యంలో కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు ఈ ఏడాది పొడుగునా వీటి ఉత్పత్తితో పాటు వినియోగం పెంచేందుకు వివిధ కార్యక్రమాల నిర్వహణపై దృష్టిసారించాయని పేర్కొంది.

- ఆదిలాబాద్‌ జిల్లాలో మరో రెండు కొత్త మండలాల ఏర్పాటుకు ప్రభుత్వం 2023 ఆగస్టు 19న ప్రాథమిక ప్రకటన జారీ చేసింది.
- జైనథ్‌, ఆదిలాబాద్‌ గ్రామీణం, బేల మండలాల నుంచి 18 గ్రామాలను వేరు చేస్తూ సాత్నాల పేరుతో కొత్త మండలాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నారు. సాత్నాల సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టు దీని పరిధిలోకే వస్తుండటంతో అదే పేరు పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకున్నారు.
- జైనథ్‌ మండలం నుంచి 28 గ్రామాలను వేరు చేస్తూ భోరజ్‌ కేంద్రంగా మరో మండలాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నారు. ఈ మేరకు రెవెన్యూశాఖ ముఖ్యకార్యదర్శి నవీన్‌ మిత్తల్‌ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేశారు. కొత్త మండలాల ఏర్పాటుపై ఏవైనా అభ్యంతరాలు, సూచనలు ఉంటే 15 రోజుల్లో జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌కు సమర్పించవచ్చని పేర్కొన్నారు. వీటితో ఆదిలాబాద్‌ జిల్లాలో మండలాల సంఖ్య 21కు చేరుకోనుంది.

- This electric bus started as an experiment at Treasure Island in the ocean near the city of San Francisco. The bus, which connects the residential areas of the island with a population of 2,000 to the market area, is free.
- This bus which carries 10 passengers at a time runs from 9 am to 6 pm. There is no driver or steering wheel in this bus, but there is only one attendant with a remote control. He not only stops the bus in case of emergency but also reassures the passengers.

New provisions on free accommodation of employees
- The Income Tax (IT) Department has come up with new rules to provide some relief to those earning high wages and living in rent-free houses provided by the owner. As a result, the net salary of the employees will increase.
- The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a notification that the new income tax rules will come into effect from September 1.
- Accordingly, when the employer provides accommodation to employees other than Central or State Government employees, the applicable rental rates will vary.
- According to the 2011 census, the rental value will henceforth be 10% in cities with a population of more than 40 lakhs. Till now as per 2001 figures it is 15 percent if the population is less than 25 lakhs. It has been reduced from 10 percent to 7.5 percent in areas with a population of 15-40 lakhs. This will benefit the employees who are getting rent free accommodation.
- An employee will be taxed as net income by considering the value of the rental on the basic NDA. Now that the rental value is reduced, there will be some cut in the annuity levied on the work.

Discovery of 'NAMOH-108' lotus
- Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh unveiled a new variety of lotus 'NAMO-108' (NAMOH 108) developed by the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) on 19 August 2023.
- This flower is unique in having 108 petals. 'NBRI Namo-108' variety gives flowers from March to December. Radical changes have been made in its genome for special characteristics.
- The minister also released cloths made from the linen collected from the lotus and cent 'Frotus' made from materials collected from the flowers. This cent was developed under the Kamalam Research Program in coordination with the Fragrance and Flavor Development Center, Kannauj. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 'Lotus Mission' on this occasion.

- లైసెన్సులు, ఆర్సీలకు ఇప్పటి వరకు కార్డుకు రూ.200, పోస్టల్‌ సర్వీస్‌కు రూ.25 మొత్తం రూ.225 చలానాతో కలిపి వసూలు చేసేవారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆ ఛార్జీలను వసూలు చేయడం లేదు. ఇప్పటికే డబ్బులు చెల్లించిన చోదకులకు మాత్రం త్వరలో కార్డులను అందజేయనున్నారు.
- రవాణా శాఖకు సంబంధించి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ‘వాహన్‌ పరివార్‌’తో సేవలన్నీ ఆన్‌లైన్‌ చేయడంతో చాలా రాష్ట్రాల్లో కార్డులను తొలగించి, డిజిటల్‌ రూపంలోనే పత్రాలు తీసుకొచ్చారు. ఇప్పుడు ఏపీలో కూడా దీన్ని అమల్లోకి తెచ్చారు.

Holiday for driving license and RC cards in AP
- The driving licenses and RCs issued by the transport department to the vehicle drivers will no longer be in the form of cards. The Transport Commissioner has issued an order that the documents downloaded in the relevant app will be sufficient.

- Download Form 6 or 23 from the Transport Department website http://aprtacitizen.epragati.org and take the certificate. Or 'APRTAcitizen' can be downloaded through the app through Android mobile.
- Just show the downloaded documents to the police and transport officials who inspect the vehicles. Instructions have been issued to the officials of the police, transport and other departments who conduct inspections to allow these.

- Scientists at Mount Royal University in Canada have discovered a new way to detect the risk of cardiovascular diseases by simply testing a saliva sample.
- An infection called periodontitis is usually caused by inflammation of the gums. In its victims, inflammatory factors are more likely to enter the bloodstream through the gums and damage the vascular system.
- In this context, scientists have found out in the latest research that by detecting the levels of white blood cells in saliva, the risk of cardiovascular diseases can be detected early.
- They analyzed the saliva samples collected by having several people gargle with saline. In people with high levels of white blood cells in saliva, it was concluded that the blood vessels become narrower and their ability to dilate according to the blood flow is less. It was concluded that the risk of heart disease is increasing in such people.

- 225 మంది ఎంపీల్లో 75 (33%) మందిపై క్రిమినల్‌ కేసులున్నాయి. అందులోనూ 41 (18%) మందిపై తీవ్రమైన నేరాలు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఇద్దరు ఎంపీలపై ఐపీసీ 302 సెక్షన్‌ కింద హత్యకేసులున్నాయి.

- Out of 225 MPs, 75 (33%) have criminal cases against them. Out of that 41 (18%) people were charged with serious crimes. There are murder cases against two MPs under IPC section 302.
- Cases of attempt to murder under IPC 307 have been registered against four others. Four more MPs.. are facing charges of committing crimes against women.. There is a case of rape under Section 376 of the IPC against Congress General Secretary for Organizational Affairs KC Venugopal.

- Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the dates of written examination for 11 posts recruitment notification on 17th August 2023.
- The written examination for the posts of Forest Range Officer will be held from September 25 to 27. Civil Assistant Surgeon, Technical Assistant (Ground Irrigation Department), Assistant Inspector of Fisheries, Industrial Promotion Officer, Food Safety Officer, Group-4 (Limited), Junior Translator Telugu, Technical Assistant (Mines), District Probation Officer Grade-2 (Juvenile the General Studies and Mental Ability Test for Welfare) Jobs will be held on October 3.
- Subject wise written tests for these jobs will be conducted online on different dates.

- రాష్ట్ర ప్రజల ఆరోగ్య రక్షణలో భాగంగా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ ప్రభుత్వం గ్రామస్థాయి నుంచి రాష్ట్రస్థాయి వరకు ప్రభుత్వ ఆస్పత్రులను ఆధునీకరణ సహా అనేక కార్యక్రమాలు చేపట్టింది. గుండె జబ్బులు, కేన్సర్‌పై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి పెట్టింది.

- రెండో దశ పైలెట్‌ ప్రాజెక్టును సెప్టెంబర్‌ 29 నుంచి కర్నూలు, గుంటూరు, విశాఖపట్నం కేంద్రంగా ప్రాజెక్టును అమలు చేస్తారు. జనవరి నుంచి రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా విస్తరిస్తారు. ఈలోగా పాత 11 బోధనాస్పత్రుల్లో కార్డియాలజీ, కార్డియో వాస్క్యులర్‌ (సీటీవీఎస్‌) విభాగాలను బలోపేతం చేస్తారు. ఇందుకోసం కార్డియాలజీ, క్యాథ్‌లాబ్‌, సీటీవీఎస్‌ విభాగాల్లో 94 పోస్టులను ప్రభుత్వం మంజూరు చేసింది. వివిధ ఆస్పత్రుల్లో రూ.120 కోట్లతో క్యాథ్‌లాబ్స్‌ను సమకూర్చింది.
గుండె సంబంధిత వ్యాధులతోనే 32.4 శాతం మరణాలు
- రాష్ట్రంలో సంభవిస్తున్న మరణాల్లో 32.4 శాతం గుండె సంబంధిత వ్యాధుల కారణంగానే ఉంటున్నాయి. రాష్ట్రంలో 38 లక్షల మందికి పైగా గుండె జబ్బుల బాధితులున్నారు. నాన్‌ కమ్యూనికబుల్‌ డిసీజెస్‌ (ఎన్‌సీడీ)లో గుండె జబ్బులదే అగ్రస్థానం.
- ఫ్యామిలీ డాక్టర్‌ విధానం ద్వారా బీపీ, షుగర్‌, ఇతర ఎన్‌సీడీ వ్యాధిగ్రస్తుల ఆరోగ్యంపై నిరంతర ఫాలోఅప్‌ ఉంచుతున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా గుండె జబ్బులు, క్యాన్సర్‌ వ్యాధులపై ఫోకస్‌ పెట్టారు. సత్వరమే నాణ్యమైన చికిత్సను అందించడం ద్వారా మరణాల కట్టడికి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా స్టెమీ ప్రాజెక్టు చేపట్టారు.
Protect the heart with the STEMI project
- As part of the health protection of the people of the state, the government of Andhra Pradesh has undertaken many programs including the modernization of government hospitals from the village level to the state level. Special focus on heart disease and cancer.
- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan has issued orders to expand cardiology and cardiovascular services and make them accessible to the people. In this order, a special program has been designed to provide prompt medical services to villagers suffering from heart diseases and save them from life-threatening condition.
- Called ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), heart attack victims are treated within 40 minutes of the golden hour. So that the victims can get out of danger. The Medical and Health Department has already implemented this as a pilot project in Tirupati Ruya Hospital.
- The second phase of the pilot project will be implemented from September 29 in Kurnool, Guntur and Visakhapatnam. It will be spread across the state from January. In the meantime, Cardiology and Cardio Vascular (CTVS) departments will be strengthened in the old 11 teaching hospitals. For this, the government has sanctioned 94 posts in cardiology, cathlab and CTVS departments. It has provided cath labs at a cost of Rs.120 crores in various hospitals.
32.4 percent deaths are due to heart related diseases
- 32.4 percent of the deaths occurring in the state are due to heart related diseases. More than 38 lakh people are suffering from heart diseases in the state. Heart disease is the leading non-communicable disease (NCD).
- Continuous follow-up on the health of BP, sugar and other NCD patients is being done through family doctor system. Especially focused on heart diseases and cancer diseases. Measures are being taken to reduce mortality by providing prompt and quality treatment. As a part of this, STEMI project was undertaken.
