Rajya Sabha : రాజ్యసభ సభ్యులుగా 9 మంది ప్రమాణం

• విదేశీ వ్యవహారాల శాఖ మంత్రి జైశంకర్‌ సహా 9 మంది 2023 ఆగస్టు 21న రాజ్యసభ సభ్యులుగా ప్రమాణం చేశారు. ఛైర్మన్‌ జగదీప్‌ ధన్‌ఖడ్‌ పార్లమెంటులోని రాజ్యసభ ఛాంబర్‌లో వారితో ప్రమాణం చేయించారు. 
• జైశంకర్‌ ఆంగ్లంలో ప్రమాణం చేశారు. 2019లో ఒకసారి రాజ్యసభకు ఎన్నికైన ఆయన ఇటీవల రెండోసారి ఎన్నికయ్యారు. ఆయనతోపాటు భాజపా సభ్యులు బీజే దేశాయ్‌, కేడీ రaాలా, నాగేంద్ర రే ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేశారు. 
• తృణమూల్‌ కాంగ్రెస్‌ నుంచి ఎన్నికైన డెరెక్‌ ఓబ్రియెన్‌, డోలా సేన్‌, ఎస్‌ఎస్‌ రే, పీసీ బరెయిక్‌, సమీరుల్‌ ఇస్లాం ఎంపీలుగా ప్రమాణం చేశారు. నలుగురు బెంగాలీలో, ముగ్గురు హిందీలో, ఇద్దరు ఆంగ్లంలో ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేశారు.

9 people sworn in as members of Rajya Sabha

• 9 people including External Affairs Minister Jaishankar took oath as Rajya Sabha members on August 21, 2023. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhad administered the oath to them in the Rajya Sabha chamber of Parliament.
• Jaishankar took oath in English. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha once in 2019 and was recently elected for the second time. BJP members BJ Desai, KD Raala and Nagendra Ray took oath along with him.
• Derek O'Brien, Dola Sen, SS Ray, PC Bareik and Sameerul Islam who were elected from Trinamool Congress took oath as MPs. Four took oath in Bengali, three in Hindi and two in English.
