- నూతన పాఠ్యప్రణాళికకు అనుగుణంగా 3 నుంచి 12 తరగతుల వరకూ ఎన్‌సీఈఆర్‌టీ పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలను సవరించేందుకు 19 మందితో ఎన్‌సీఈఆర్‌టీ ఓ కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు అధికార వర్గాలు వెల్లడిరచాయి.
- వీరిలో ఇన్ఫోసిస్‌ ఫౌండేషన్‌ ఛైర్‌పర్సన్‌ సుధామూర్తి, ప్రముఖ సంగీత దర్శకుడు శంకర్‌ మహదేవన్‌, ఆర్థికవేత్త సంజీవ్‌ సన్యాల్‌, భారతీయ భాషా సమితి ఛైర్‌పర్సన్‌ చాము కృష్ణశాస్త్రితో పాటు పలువురు నిపుణులు ఉన్నారు.
- నేషనల్‌ సిలబస్‌, టీచింగ్‌ లెర్నింగ్‌ మెటీరియల్‌ కమిటీ (ఎన్‌ఎస్‌టీసీ) అని పిలిచే దీనికి జాతీయ విద్యా ప్రణాళిక, పరిపాలన (ఎన్‌ఐఈపీఏ) ఛైర్మన్‌ ఎం.సి.పంత్‌ నేతృత్వం వహిస్తారు.
- పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలను, ఇతర విద్యాసంబంధ సమాచారాన్ని సిద్ధం చేయడం ఈ కమిటీ ముఖ్య విధి. నిబంధనలకు అనుగుణంగా వీటిని ఎన్‌సీఈఆర్‌టీ పరిశీలించి పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలను సిద్ధం చేస్తుంది.
Who is the Chairman of National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Materials Committee (NSTC)?
- Authorities have revealed that NCERT has formed a committee with 19 members to revise the NCERT textbooks from classes 3 to 12 in accordance with the new curriculum.
- Among them are Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudhamurthy, renowned music director Shankar Mahadevan, economist Sanjeev Sanyal, Bharatiya Bhasha Samithi Chairperson Chamu Krishna Shastri and many other experts.
- Called the National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Materials Committee (NSTC), it is headed by National Education Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Chairman MC Pant. The main function of this committee is to prepare textbooks and other educational information. NCERT examines these as per the rules and prepares the textbooks.
