seven bills : ఏడు బిల్లులకు రాష్ట్రపతి ఆమోదముద్ర

• తీవ్ర చర్చనీయాంశమైన ‘దిల్లీ సర్వీసుల బిల్లు’ (జాతీయ రాజధాని ప్రాంత సవరణ బిల్లు-2023) సహా ఏడు బిల్లులు 2023 ఆగస్టు 12న చట్టం రూపం దాల్చాయి. పార్లమెంటు ఉభయ సభలు ఆమోదించిన ఈ బిల్లులకు రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపదీ ముర్ము తన సమ్మతిని తెలిపారు. 
• దేశ పౌరుల డిజిటల్‌ హక్కులను బలోపేతం చేయడంతో పాటు వ్యక్తిగత సమాచార దుర్వినియోగానికి పాల్పడే కంపెనీలపై కొరడా రaుళిపించేందుకు డేటా ప్రొటెక్షన్‌ చట్టాన్ని తీసుకొచ్చారు. రాష్ట్రపతి ఆమోదం తెలపటంతో...జనన, మరణాల నమోదు (సవరణ) బిల్లు, జన్‌ విశ్వాస్‌ (సవరణ) బిల్లు, ఐఐఎం(సవరణ) బిల్లు, జాతీయ దంత వైద్య కమిషన్‌(సవరణ) బిల్లు, సముద్ర ప్రాంత ఖనిజాల(అభివృద్ధి, నియంత్రణ) సవరణ బిల్లు కూడా చట్ట రూపం దాల్చాయి.

President's assent to seven bills

• Seven bills, including the hotly debated 'Delhi Services Bill' (National Capital Region Amendment Bill-2023), passed into law on 12 August 2023. President Draupadi Murmu has given his assent to these bills which have been passed by both houses of Parliament.
• The Data Protection Act was brought in to strengthen the digital rights of the citizens of the country and crack down on companies that misuse personal information. With the President's assent...Registration of Births, Deaths (Amendment) Bill, Jan Vishwas (Amendment) Bill, IIM (Amendment) Bill, National Dental Commission (Amendment) Bill, Marine Minerals (Development and Control) Amendment Bill also became law.
