• Olympian and wrestler Seema Bisla has been banned for one year by the National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP). Action was taken against her as per WADA norms.
• The ADDP took action against her for violating the rules by not appearing for dope test thrice in a year or not giving information about her whereabouts.
• The ban on her came into effect from May 12 this year. 30-year-old Seema Bisla won bronze in the 50 kg category at the 2021 Asian Championships. In the pre-quarters of the Tokyo Olympics, she turned her back.
